At Savoir Vivre, we want you to choose what you consider best for your household and we are here to support you throughout the process.
We can break the process down into layers for you:
Step I – Research
We advise you conduct a proper screening prior to deciding to entrust an agency to handle your employment needs. We think hiring a staff member is of paramount importance. For some moms, it’s the hardest decision after the parental days of maternity leave are over. This might be a stressful period that requires careful consideration to decide what is the best for your household needs.
Step II – Our consultancy
If your final decision is to proceed with Savoir Vivre, we would appreciate a phone call introducing yourself and perhaps taking a moment to register with our consultancy. We offer three main categories of services and five packages carefully tailored for the needs of your household.
Step III – Requirements
Our Client Requirements Form is quite extensive but it will give us full insight and understanding of what you are looking for in your staffing requirements. We also advise you take some time with your family to discuss our tips for choosing the domestic staff who will fit in with your family’s personalities and lifestyle.
Step IV – Contract
Our contract allows you to choose your candidate. It is valid for one year with a free replacement. We make our procedures open and easy to follow so our clients feel comfortable working with us.
Step V – Screening the candidates
After the relationship has been established, we will start sending you Candidate Profiles of the shortlisted candidates that are the most suitable for your family needs. Simply choose the ones you wish to meet for an interview.
Step VI – Interviews
We advise clients to meet in person or conduct a Skype interview with the candidates who are shortlisted. The Candidate Profile and photo may look good on paper but is not a true indication of if that person is the right one to live with and take care of your family. An interview will help you properly assess the candidate’s skills and personality to make sure you hire the right person.
Step VII – Consultation
A consultant from our company may help you with the process. Our Consultants are experienced in the industry and can give our best advice on which candidate is the right fit and will further share our notes from the interview to help make your decision easier.
Step IX – Final selection
Once you decide on the most-suitable candidate, we suggest you take action quickly. At no time should you allow the candidate to live with you without obtaining a visa first. Allowing this is both illegal and will make your domestic staff feel insecure.
Step X – Gifts, Books, Uniforms.
As a part of our packages, we have introduced a new concept of domestic placement that comes along with multiple benefits that allow you to complete a service cycle. That applies for the books we give for free as a part of our packages and our variety of designers uniforms for any occasion.
Step XI – Client Thank You Memo
We will provide you with our own Savoir Vivre Thank You Memo – a set of informal guidelines that will give you some helpful do’s and don’ts to follow as well as our best advice on working with your new household member. These ‘unwritten’ rules were created as a guide to make your relationship with your employee a success.
Step XII- Follow up
Our Consultant will follow up on the placement to make sure that both the candidate and our client are happy. When needed, we will also help introduce the domestic helper or a nanny to the community so that the transition goes smoothly and she quickly becomes acquainted with her new atmosphere.
And among all, we wish you an enjoyable process of choosing and finding the right one!
